About Us
Established in 1981, the Rainland Fly Casters club has promoted fly fishing, conservation, and educational outreach for over 40 years. The Rainland Fly Casters board meets at 7pm on the 1st Thursday of each month to discuss club business, planning, and events. To meet the club board click here.
Newsletter
The Rainland Fly Casters newsletter, The Fly Line, is sent to club members during the first week of each month after the monthly board meeting. Become a new member to be included on the distribution list for the current newsletter. To see archived newsletters from previous months click here.
Programs
The Rainland Fly Casters monthly meetings are at 6:45pm on the 3rd Thursday of each month at El Compadre restaurant in Warrenton, OR (119 S. Main Street). Programs at monthly meetings include presentations by speakers in the fly fishing industry on a variety of topics including fly fishing techniques, local fisheries, and domestic and international destinations and club member programs including "Tie with a Master" fly-tying demonstrations and trip reports. Programs are typically an hour long and begin around 7pm after the club agenda. For more info click here.

Outings

Volunteer Activities
The Rainland Fly Casters club conducts local volunteer activities including teaching fly fishing, tying, and casting to local school students and assists with local restoration and fisheries projects. Next Event - May 15th at 6:45pm (Ilwaco Cider Company, WA)

At our next monthly meeting on May 15th Josh Phillips at Spawn Fly Fish will present on Coastal Cutthroat at
Ilwaco Cider Company in Washington. He will share his knowledge of pursuing Coastal Cutthroat on SW Washington streams and rivers and also cover fly patterns that have been successful over the years. Hope to see you there!
