The Rainland Fly Casters monthly meetings are at 6:45pm on the 3rd Thursday of each month at El Compadre restaurant in Warrenton, OR (119 S. Main Street). Members typically arrive around 5:30pm for dinner prior to the meeting.

Pete Rosenau of Spawn Fly Fish will share the ins and outs of pursuing B-run coho on SW Washington rivers. He'll also open up his fly box to share some of the patterns he tied in pursuit of these fish.

No monthly meeting this month as we will be co-hosting the Fly Fishing Film Tour with Spawn Fly Fish at Fort George Brewery on Friday, March 22nd. Doors will open at 6pm and folks are encouraged to arrive early as tickets and spacing are limited. Should be a great event so hope to see you all there!

Local fly fishing opportunity presentation on Cullaby Lake. This presentation will include all details on fly fishing Cullaby Lake and be followed up with an outing on the lake on Saturday, July 20th.

Topic: NFNF Klaskanine River Fish Passage
Our next monthly meeting will be on August 15th at 6:45pm at El Compadre Restaurant in Warrenton. Graham Klag, Executive Director, of the North Coast Watershed Association in Astoria will present on the current dam removal project that will restore fish passage to the North Fork of the North Fork Klaskanine River. The Klaskanine River is a Youngs Bay tributary and one of the first major watersheds that ocean returning salmonids encounter on the Oregon side of the Lower Columbia River Estuary.

If you want to learn about some prime fishing opportunities near Astoria, this is a must-attend meeting.

Our next speaker will be ODFW's Program to Restore Oregon's Chum Salmon (PROCS) Coordinator, Kelcee Smith. Kelcee will discuss ODFW's Chum Salmon recovery efforts in the Lower Columbia River Basin.
